2015 TBG Activities
November 2015 - Bat Care Training Day, Dundee
TBG organised a very successful bat care training day at the Camperdown Wildlife Centre, with 63 people attending and many more who had to be balloted out due to lack of places.
Talks and demonstrations were given on various aspects of bat care and a few more bat carers were the result - which are well needed across the local area - and quite a few from outwith the Tayside area.
Tayside seems to be leading the way in bat care training in Scotland!

September 2015 - Bat Box Checks at the Tay Reed Beds, Errol and Dundee
TBG members had an enjoyable day at the Tay Reed Beds checking the bat boxes we installed along the paths, followed by a trip into Dundee to check some more boxes.
A big thanks to the folk at CSV Action Earth for awarding us a grant to get equipment to enable us to do this :D
A healthy number of pipistrelles found in the reed bed boxes and a few nice brown long eared bats spotted in a top secret location in Dundee ;)

November 2015 - TBG curry night, Perth
TBG members met up in Perth for an excellent curry after the Scottish Bat Conference and brainstormed future batty projects :)

Hibernation survey, Jan 2015
The bat group had great fun exploring various caves, tunnels and ancient structures around Perthshire :)
